Formerly of Aspinwall, on Monday, March 18, 2013, Mr. Kernan was the beloved son of the late Andrew and Helen Leonard Kernan; uncle of Jim (Bonnie)Varley, Peg Varley, Bob (Donna) Varley and Carol Haubach; also many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; dear friend of Lucy Paulin; predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters. Mr. Kernan was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a retired school teacher at Deer Lakes High School.
Celebrate Mr. Kernan’s life with his family on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd at Rt. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St Mary of the Assumption Church, Glenshaw on Friday at 11:30 AM.
