Shirley Lu (Corcoran) OKunewick

Of Ross Twp., on Saturday, March 19, 2016, Mrs. OKunewick was the beloved wife of the late James P. OKunewick; mother of Natalie Spradling (James), Mary Zaffron (Andrew), Philip OKunewick (Diane), Eric OKunewick (Gretchen); daughter of the late Edward G. and Lucille Junker Corcoran; also 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Mrs. OKunewick was a retired school nurse for the Shaler Area School District. She loved to travel and was a member of the Mayflower Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Shirley was a member of GTEV DLustigen Isartalers, Alpen Shuhplattler und Trachten Verein and the Teutonia Damenchr.
Celebrate Mrs. OKunewicks life with her family on Monday from 5-8 PM at Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Rt. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius Church on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. The family respectfully requests donations be made to Sisters of Divine Providence Retirement Fund, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or the Diocesan Retired Priests/Nuns Retirement Fund.
