Robert J. Pohl

Of Aspinwall, on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, Mr. Pohl was the beloved fianc of Donna Pietropaolo; husband of the late Gladys Reid Pohl; adopted son of the late Charles and Catherine Pohl; brother of Mary Andree (Cliff) and the late Jude Pohl (Shirley); step-father of Donna Isch; step-grandfather of Lisa Gaunt (Joe), Donald Isch (Susan) and Michael Isch; step-great-grandfather of Damian Isch; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Pohl was a 1949 graduate of North Catholic High School and a 1955 graduate of Villanova University where he received his Masters in Librarian Services and worked at the Nanuet High School from 1966-1986. He was a 10 year member of the Lockport, NY Board of Education and an ordained R.C. priest with the name of Fr. Zachary and was laicized in 1966. He was also a member of the Lockport Festival Chorale and Washington Festival Chorale. He was active as a singer in many Gilbert & Sullivan operas. He also produced "Senior Spotlight" for WCB network in Lockport, NY.
Celebrate Mr. Pohls life with his family at a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at noon at St. Raphael Church, Morningside. Arrangements made by Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Rte. 8, Shaler Twp.
