Age 96, of Verona, PA, formerly of Shaler Twp. and Millvale, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Len was born on November 27, 1929, in his family home in Millvale, PA.
Len was a proud graduate of North Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh (after 8 and a half years of night school while raising a family, and settling into a new home). Len was a proud Marine serving his country from 1951-1953.
After adding a year to his age on his baptismal certificate, Len worked in a variety of jobs leading to a long-time career at Armco Steel. He retired at the spry age of 52, from his role in Labor Relations.
Len was preceded in death by two lovely ladies in their blessed marriages, his first wife, Millie (Vinski) and later to Frances (Jarrup), his parents, Adam and Regina Komoroski, and his siblings and their spouses Eugene and Betty, Chuck and Ina, and Bobby and Lillian.
Len is survived by his loving family, his children Karen (Bill) Kemp, Len (Denise), Greg, and Mary Jean (George) Gula; grandchildren, Matthew, Audrey (Michael), Kristin, Kelly (Christian), Jamie, Zachary, Angela (Eddie), Veronica, Vincent, Annie Laurie, Andrew, Peter (Catharine), and Aleena, along with four special great grandchildren, Griffin, Turner, Layla and Jackson.
Our amazing Dad and Pappap loved sharing stories of his early days, riding around to see sites from his life, playing the card game Casino, being with family, and volunteering for St. Vincent de Paul Society and organizations within St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
Celebrate Len’s life with his family on Friday from 3-7 PM at Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd at Rt. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Glenshaw. The family respectfully suggests donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, C/O St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 2510 Middle Road, Glenshaw PA 15116.
