Of Shaler Twp., formerly of Lawrenceville, age 85, on Sunday, December 4, 2016, Kathleen was surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was the beloved wife of Benny "Bucky" Palermo; devoted and loving mother of Christine Kuczynski (Thomas), Marian Dolan (Charles), Anthony, Ann Kopec (Ronald) and Eugene; daughter of the late John and Hilda Rodgers and sister of Regina, Margaret, Ellen and Marilyn; caring grandmother of Sabrina Riccelli (Corrado), Christopher Casey (April), Melissa McGlone (Colin), Dan Palermo, Joe Palermo, Nikki Bandurski (Justin), Maria Palermo, Ashley Kopec; also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with eight great-grandchildren that she loved dearly. Kathleen, a dedicated member of Holy Spirit, member of the Third Order of the Society of St. Francis and Eucharistic Minister, was cared for by her devoted and loving husband of 65 years throughout her battle. Working side-by-side for nearly 50 years, Kathleen and Bucky "the shoemaker" Palermo made their mark on the community of Lawrenceville one shoe at a time. Their love for one another spans three generations and is a fairy tale love story come true. She loved hosting the holidays for her entire family over the years, watching her children grow up to have children of their own and growing old with the love of her life. Her warm smile, unmatched kindness and love for her family will be profoundly missed, yet will be cherished and admired for countless years to come. Sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff at Vincentian De Marillac and Canterbury Place who cared for her over the years and during her final hours.
