Joseph S. Kernic

It is with heavy hearts that we unexpectedly announce the passing of Joseph S. Kernic, age 66, of Shaler Twp., Joe passed surrounded by the love of his family. Joe is survived by his wife that he has loved since he was 15 years old, Dawna Bildhauer Kernic; his children, Crystal Corfield (Justun), Cody Kernic (Miranda), and two angel twins; grandchildren, Kailey and Dustun Corfield, Dilynn Kernic; sister Joanne Hathcox (Charles); niece Jennifer Dorsey (Tom). Joe was the son of the late Joseph S. Kernic and Elizabeth Kernic-Kushik (John).

Joe unabashedly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them (especially his grandchildren). He was a gentle quiet loving man. He was also known for his love of working on cars. He was a dedicated mechanic and found much pride in helping families in our community have safe, reliable transportation. He will be very missed by many family, friends and customers.  

Celebrate Joe’s life with his family on Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM at PERMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Shaler Twp. where Services will be held at 12:00 Noon.
