Joseph Bosack

Age 85, formerly of Hampton Twp., went home to the Lord on May 26, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Mary Ellen (Foley) Bosack for 65 years; beloved father of Joseph (Sandy), James, John, Mary Patricia Bosack, Kathleen Baron (William), Danielle Christy (Joseph); grandfather of Joey, David, Ashley Bosack, Tracey Richnavsky (Kyle), Natalie Zukowski (Maciej), Annabel and Billy Baron, Alex (Clare), Lillian Christy; expected great-grandfather of Reese Jean Richnavsky in July 2025.

Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Joseph and Natalie Bosack; brother of Nancy Dietz (Greg) and the late Joan Conley (Howard).

Joe was a graduate of Central Catholic. He served in the Air Force Reserves and later graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. He worked as a computer programmer for Koppers Co and later owned and operated his own programming consulting business. He was a dedicated volunteer both at his church and in the community. He loved to have his family gather together, evidenced by the fact that he and his wife always hosted the holidays and summer picnics which have left lasting memories for our family. Later in life, Joe and his wife moved to Washington PA and lived at the Strabane Villages. He received the most amazing and loving care there by the staff as well as hospice. Our family is forever grateful for how much they loved him.

Celebrate Mr. Bosack’s life with his family on Thursday from 3-7 PM at Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Rt. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Church on Friday at 10 AM.
