James R. Geary

Age 85, of Shaler Twp., on Thursday, July 16, 2026, Mr. Geary was the beloved husband of Carolyn M. Scheider Geary; father of Janice Schiller (Mark), Matthew Geary; son of the late James E. and Margaret Stacer Geary; brother of Mary Ann Prior (late Jack and Allyn), Catherine Geary, Paul Geary (late Barbara), Leo Geary (late Dorothy), and the late George Geary (surv. Margaret), Francis Geary (June); grandfather of Ariana and Carena Schiller.

Jim met the love of his life under the disco ball in the dance hall in West View in 1964. He was an accountant for over 45 years and had a love for investing. He enjoyed playing golf, watching various sporting events on television and playing various card games. One of his favorite past times was spending time with his granddaughters and attending their many volleyball games. He spent quite a bit of time in his “man cave” listening to the radio. Jim enjoyed watching hallmark movies with his beloved Carolyn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Matthew Parish, St. Bonaventure Church, Glenshaw with interment and a celebration of life immediately following. Arrangements made by Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd at Rt. 8, Shaler Twp.
