Heather M. Buchek Hickey

Age 41, of North Huntington, formerly of McCandless, suddenly and unexpectedly on March 19, 2026. Heather was the cherished daughter of Lisa Buchek-Kunz, and the late Edward S. Buchek, Sr. She was their beautiful Christmas baby, born on December 23rd and immediately lit up the world. Heather is also survived by her son Aiden and daughter Lila, who she loved more than anything in this world. She is also the beloved sister of Edward S. Buchek, Jr. (Tracy) and Alexandra Kunz. Heather is the granddaughter of Carol Ann Sees, the late Joseph S. Sees and Stanley and Ann Buchek. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her dearly.

Heather was 2003 graduate of North Allegheny High School and Beattie Tech, where she was a part of their childcare program. She loved animals and was a very important member of a local rescue team, where she participated in hundreds of rescues, traveling thousands of miles to rescue a multitude of animals from unsafe situations. Heather also was an advocate for disabled children and worked with them for many years. Her caring heart never stopped for anyone in need, no matter what the situation. There wasn’t a person she met who didn’t instantly become her friend. Heather adored spending time at the beach with her family. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Celebrate Heather’s life with her family on Monday from 2-4:30 PM at Perman Funeral Home, 923 Saxonburg Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15223 where a service will be held at 4:30 PM.
