Valerie C. (Svensson) Andersen

Age 78, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Georgetown SC and Atchison KS, on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, Mrs. Andersen was the beloved wife of Edward H. Andersen for 52 years; mother of Jane D. Czernik (Edward) of New Bern NC and Linda Andersen of Mt. Lebanon; daughter of the late Valdenar C. and Dorothy G. Row Svensson; sister of Marilyn Apel (Myron) of Olathe KS; grandmother of Matthew and Axl Moore of Georgetown SC; 1 great-granddaughter, nieces and nephews; and her faithful yellow Labrador, Crackerjack, among many previous pets. After graduating from Atchison High School in 1951, Valerie attended the University of Kansas. Of her many jobs, the most notable was for the Bureauof Public Debt in Washington DC. Several lifelong friends will also cherish the memory of this remarkable woman. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
