Thelma (Castello) Fischer

Of Allison Park, on Monday, June 5, 2017, Mrs. Fischer was the beloved wife of William P. Fischer; mother of Karen Dukes, Mary Jo Yerkins (Marte), William Fischer (late Marcia and Jeannie), Paul Fischer (Graceann), Dennis Fischer (Linda), Robert Fischer (late Anj), David Fischer (Toni); daughter of the late Alfred and Gelsomina Castello; sister of Rosemary Lew (late Andy) and the late Inez Barr (late Herbert), Ernest Castello (late Helen); also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Over her lifetime, Thelma held a passion for gardening, ceramics, card-playing, crossword puzzling, baking, and bonsai. She was an avid learner who thirsted to know of new things. But most of all, she was devoted to her husband Bill and her seven children.
A Memorial Service will be held at Presbyterian Senior Care, Hulton Rd, Oakmont on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Glenshaw on July 7, 2017 at 10 AM.
