Robert "Bob" Lazaro passed peacefully with his wife by his side on Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sylvia; his sons-Robert Lazaro Jr., Michael Lazaro (Tammy), and his daughter Kimberly Bozzo (Mark); his nine grandchildren- Christopher (Lisa), Michael K., Michael, Maggie, Mark (Maria), Maria (J.T.), Nicholas, Annie, Killian, and Tia; his six great grandchildren- Maya, Milo, Macy, Collin, Colton, and Payton. Bob is preceded in death by his parents- John Lazaro Sr. and Mary Preston; his brothers; John Jr, and Toney.
Bob was a dedicated husband, a loving and giving father, and a fun and caring Pappap. He was born and raised in Fayetteville, West Virginia before moving to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his family. He grew up in a coal mining town, and could entertain for hours with stories of his childhood. He carried the work ethic he learned from his father in the coal mines with him through life where he worked as an independent, owner, long-haul truck driver - one of his proudest trips; carrying pipe north for the Alaskan pipe line. He lived life to the fullest each day and enjoyed an honest and ordinary life. He was a keeper of all animals; wild or stray, and you could be sure to find him in his garage, drinking cream soda and fiddling with the treasures of his travels. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and took care of his Harley up until his final day. He loved to play checkers and you could always be sure he had an extra tic-tac or root beer barrel in his pocket for you when you needed one. May his soul be at rest in heaven, and his spirit fly forever in the hills of West Virginia
