Of Shaler Twp., surrounded by her family, on Monday, September 3, 2018, Mrs. Varrasso was the beloved wife of Mauro Varrasso; mother of Isolina Varrasso (Devin Michalism) of Shaler Twp., Pasquale Varrasso of Shaler Twp.; daughter of Bruno Malta and Maria Candida Febbraro; sister of Elizabeth Valotta (Peter) of Allison Park, Fiorenza Curigliano (Paolo) of Highland Park, Frank Malta (Renee) of Fawn Twp, and the late Nicolantonio Malta; loving nanna of Natalia and Logan Michalism; aunt of Isolina Pendergast (Bob), Christina Varrasso, Sonia Varrasso, Jessica Balestrino (Joe), Antonella DeIuliis (Eugenio), Maria Potdar (Rohan), Pietro Curigliano, Nicolantonio Malta, Giuliana Malta; sister-in-law of Caterina Varrasso (late Diego), Flora Romeo (Pino), Vinicio Varrasso (Isolina), and the late Teadora Ranzella (Nicola), Bruno Varrasso, Silvana Perna (late Enzo), Filippo Varrasso.

Maria was born November 7, 1956 in Maierato Italy. She immigrated to Pittsburgh in 1974. Maria and her family were the owners of Homestead Capri Pizza until she retired in 2013. Her passion was her family and business.

Celebrate Mrs. Varrassos life with her family on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Rte. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Church, Morningside on Friday at 11:30 AM. Entombment at Mt. Royal Cemetery.
