Of Squirrel Hill, on Thursday, May 29, 2014, Dr. Saladin was the beloved husband of Dr. Lois Dilks Saladin; father of Claudia Saladin of Greenfield and David Saladin of Shadyside; son of the late Xaver and Jeanne Buhlmann Saladin; brother of Susan Kurt (late Alfred) of Zurich and Ruth Saladin of Solothurn Switzerland. Dr. Saladin was a retired Professor of Nuclear Physics at the University of Pittsburgh.
A Memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd at Rt. 8, Shaler Twp. The family respectfully suggests donations be made to Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Pittsburgh, c/o Mat Romick, 3941 O'Hara St, 100 Allen Hall, Pittsburgh PA 15260.
