Evelyn V. Trdina

Of West Deer Twp., on Saturday, January 21, 2017 Ms. Trdina was the beloved daughter of the late Nicholas Joseph and Katherine Zugaj Trdina; sister of Keith Trdina (Karen) of Allison Park, and the late Edward A. Trdina, Rose Shaginaw (Joseph), Nicholas P. Trdina (Dorothy), Irene Trdina, Bernadette Thomas (Harold), and Elizabeth "Betsey" Meyers (George); sister-in-law of Bertha Trdina; also proud aunt of 12 nieces and nephews, 21 great-nieces and nephews, and 11 great-great nieces and nephews. Evelyn graduated from Etna High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She spent 40 years as an administrative assistant at United States Steel and was a life-long member of the CFU Croatian Fraternal Union #4 and the KSKJ American Slovenian Catholic Union. She never cared much for playing cards and had a total distain for bingo, but loved duck pin bowling, golf and cheering for her Pittsburgh Steelers. Evelyn had the good-fortune of living to 92.
Celebrate Evelyns life with her family at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Marys Church, Sharpsburg on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Arrangements made by Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Rte. 8, Shaler Twp.
