Anna Rosswog Bittner

Of Shaler Twp., on Monday, January 14, 2013, Mrs. Bittner, 99, went to be with her beloved husband of 72 years, Clarence Bittner; mother of Mary Ann (John) Simpson, Clarence (Judy) Bittner, Patricia (James) Gandy, John (Jeanne) Bittner, Lois (Ronald) Krieg, Ginny (Paul) Penezic, Irene (Kenneth) Wise, Thomas (Charise) Bittner and the late Martin Bittner and Susan (late Bill) Duncan; daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia Henninger Rosswog; sister of the late Joseph and James Rosswog; sister-in-law of Joanne Dell Rosswog; also 29 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter. Mrs. Bittner was a dedicated homemaker who was humble, patient and a true lady. She loved her faith and her church, St. Mary of the Assumption. She was a member of the St. Mary Christian Mothers. Her family and friends considered her a saint on earth. The Bittner family extends their thanks to their mother’s caregivers, Debbie, Elaine, Susan and Sharon.

Celebrate Mrs. Bittner’s life with her family on Thursday from 6-8 PM and Friday from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Perman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd at Rt. 8, Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at St Mary of the Assumption Church, Glenshaw on Saturday at 10 AM. Family respectfully suggests donations be made to St Mary School, 2510 Middle Road, Glenshaw PA 15116.
